Empowering young Creatives

Navigating the industry as an intern or junior creative can be quite challenging. The gap between the work created at portfolio schools and colleges versus what’s expected from real clients and briefs can be big. Creative Directors are doing the best they can to educate and communicate to their teams, but it’s a lot of responsibility for already busy creatives to also manage and mentor interns and junior creatives in their first job. When there are quick turnarounds, a lot of things are at stake.

It’s hard when interns or juniors aren’t delivering what’s expected and usually it’s faster and easier to give assignments to more experienced teams or creative leaders who will rewrite or redesign the work. This is inefficient, time-consuming, demotivating, and a waste of talent.

My role as a Creative Liberator & Educator is dedicated to nurturing the talents and potential of junior and intern creatives. I provide guidance, mentorship, and educational support to empower emerging professionals in the advertising industry.

My goal is to equip them with the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to not only succeed but thrive.

What I offer:

Problem-Solving

Advertising often involves navigating complex challenges. I guide junior and intern creatives in identifying potential obstacles and provide strategies for innovative problem-solving. I encourage them to view challenges as opportunities for creative solutions.

Brainstorming

I introduce a variety of creative brainstorming techniques to unleash their creativity and move beyond their first ideas to create unique and impactful concepts.

Idea process

I specialize in helping junior and intern creatives unlock their creative potential. I lead them through ideation processes, emphasizing the importance of innovative thinking and unique approaches to problem-solving.

Creative Confidence

I understand that diving into the advertising world can be daunting. My role is to foster an environment where junior and intern creatives feel secure sharing their ideas with their Creative leadership and clients. Through engaging exercises and constructive feedback, I boost their confidence and enthusiasm for creative exploration.

Feedback and Growth

I advocate for a culture of continuous improvement. I help junior and intern creatives actively seek feedback on their work, fostering a commitment to refining and advancing their skills.

Supportive Environment

I create a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere where open dialogue is encouraged. Junior and intern creatives are empowered to ask questions, seek guidance, and share their concerns, ensuring they have the support needed to excel in their roles.

I can provide support and mentorship to junior teams and interns in various ways:

Sessions

I am available for one-on-one sessions or group discussions with teams to provide guidance of what’s expected, empower creativity, motivate, help with specific requests, and offer insights. These sessions can take place in a digital format or, if you are located in the New York area, in person.

Project workshops

For specific projects, I can design and lead hands-on workshops tailored to the project’s requirements. These workshops can provide creative brainstorms, pushing creative boundaries and offering workshops directly related to the brief. The goal can for example be to help juniors explore their creative skills and minds, coming up with bigger ideas for their brief. This could also be a way for the junior teams to find more inspiration and creative motivation particularly after project rebriefs or during extended projects.

Flexibility

My support is adaptable to your specific needs. I can tailor my involvement to match your requirements. For instance, I can facilitate one-time workshops with juniors for specific projects or I’m also available on a set schedule, whether it’s once a week or when need be, to provide ongoing support.
